Newborn Baby Clothing Essentials: Onesies and Sleepers
There are so many choices for newborn baby clothing that when you go into the store, you are most likely overwhelmed. There are little suits and chiffon dresses. There is everything from Capris to overhauls. There are even matching accessories. But what do you really need for a newborn? Newborns need more clothes but in less of a variety of clothing than most people think.
The most important pieces of baby clothes that you can buy are the onesie and the sleeper. Newborns will need both long sleeve and short sleeve onesies. You should have six to eight long-sleeve onesies and 12 short-sleeve onesies. Onesies can be used as a layering piece. Onesies can serve as tee shirts. A onesie may be an outfit all in its own right. Onesies may be used as a top. Match a onesie with a basic pair of matching pants and you have a nice ensemble for an outing. Onesies and basic pants can be purchased separately or in multi-count packages.
Sleepers can be used as sleepers, of course, but sleepers can also be used as daytime fashion wear. Sleepers are sold individually as well as in multi-count packages. I recommend that your newborn should have six to eight long-sleeve sleepers.
Other necessary newborn baby clothing is truly minimal. A newborn may need a pair of crib mittens so that your baby does not scratch his or her face while sleeping; a hat or two; a pair of socks or two; one or two good outfits for church or special occasions; and, if it is wintertime, a bunting.
Although you can buy shoes for newborns, skip the shoes. Purchasing nonessentials or more clothing for your newborn than is necessary is money wasted. So, beyond onesies and sleepers and, of course, diapers make only necessary and prudent purchases. Otherwise, you will have unworn newborn clothing when your baby moves onto the next size

If you are someone that is expecting a new baby you might benefit from using a pregnancy support pillow. These specially designed pillows allow for an expectant mother to have the optimum in comfort while sitting or resting. The construction is made of a memory foam piece that shapes itself to the mother’s body so she can relax with ease. The weight of a baby can add a lot of strain on the spine which causes the surrounding back muscles to work harder. Without having adequate support the back can actually incur damage that can persist well after the baby is born.
This type of pillow for use with a pregnancy is made to allow for the mother’s tummy to grow over time. It comes with a scalloped out edge that gently surrounds the tummy area where baby is nestled. There is no chance of harm to the growing child at all. You can use this type of pillow unit in a bed or on a sofa. It’s perfect for using in the evenings when you are tired and may have a difficult time relaxing while sitting and watching TV. Some of these models come with removable inserts so you can adjust it to fit your particular needs.
The Maria Pregnancy Pillow is made of allergy-resistant foam and is designed for the support of pre-natal women. Use of the item will reduce swelling often associated with being pregnant. It is also one of the adjustable styles so you can easily make the item conform to the type of shape you need. If you know someone that is expecting, this would make a great gift item for them. They can also be used for mothers that will be nursing to provide support while in a nursing position. You can find these pillows at most stores that carry maternity and baby supplies.

I never thought that learning how to customize and design your own sweatshirt or t-shirt would turn out to be a lot easier than I thought. I got really jealous of my friends’ sweatshirt because it is design in ways that are so unique and that I never knew where to buy them. I didn’t know that you can make your own sweatshirt design in various ways and options.
One thing that motivated me so much to learn how to make your own sweatshirt is that my boyfriend and I are going to celebrate our first year anniversary at the time. He said he was going to surprise me with a gift. I on the other hand, have totally forgotten about it so, I took the initiative to come up with ways to have something to give him also.
Thus, in efforts to make own sweatshirt design, I asked my friend if he could teach me how to create a sweatshirt and customize it to my heart’s desire. Fortunately, he said yes. I know my boyfriend trusts this guy because this friend I’m talking about is my boyfriend’s brother. (Laughing) I know, it sounds really silly that I asked my boyfriend’s brother to teach me how to customize and make your own sweatshirt design.
At first, I thought it was going to be so difficult that I can’t finish it in time for our anniversary—but im happy to say I did. So how exactly did we do it? Well, the first thing he did was to teach me how to make a cute graphic using a picture of me and my boyfriend. At first, I had to learn to crop the picture and cutting it down to a desirable size that would be just right to fit the sweatshirt.
We used a program over the internet that helps you customize and design your own sweatshirt and really, it was worth the try. The software allowed us to experiment on numerous possibilities and it also allowed us to use some of its great features that are truly amazing.
You can crop, color, add effects and do technically almost everything that you want to make your design truly unique and one of a kind. Basically, that software was really user friendly and after a few tries, I already got the hang of it. The best thing is that you won’t be using any other tool in making your own design. All you need to do is click, adjust, click and click.
The best part of it all is that you have your design printed right away. I didn’t know until recently that there was a sweatshirt selling website that allows you to customize and design your own sweatshirt or t-shirt and order it right from the internet. And would you believe that my sweatshirt came three days before our anniversary? I was really amazed that after that, I was ordering and ordering every single week and I grew to love it.
And how did the anniversary go? Well, it ended up as a swapping of sweatshirts because he did exactly the same for me. He designed a sweatshirt with my face on it that says “I love you baby, happy anniversary!”
