Maternity Makeup and Fashion
Congrats! You are pregnant. As a mom to be you already have that inherent glow. Now all you need is makeup to compliment your features and keep you feeling put-together and beautiful (even if you’re not feeling super great all the time!) Here are a few easy makeup tips to help you with some flattering beauty and makeup looks while you are expecting.
First, planning out your makeup looks can be less complicated than searching for flattering maternity clothes. For many women the thought of shopping for maternity clothing can be overwhelming, daunting, and a little disheartening – there ARE adorable maternity clothes out there, but you have to know where to look. To contrast, shopping for makeup to wear while you are pregnant is often be fun, uplifting, and a bit easier than making other fashion choices.
In order to put your best pregnant face forward, keep it simple. The goal of makeup is to enhance your natural beauty and features. Therefore stick with products that are easy to use and ones that make you feel great. Avoid overdoing it; however, don’t be afraid to go bold on a feature that you want to draw attention to.
Next, blush is to brides as moisturizer is to pregnant women. Just as brides seek to be the “blushing bride”, you are now seeking to have that “inner glow”. A great glow is achieved with fabulous looking skin. Furthermore, achieving good-looking skin is the ultimate beauty tip and the perfect starting point for makeup. If your skin looks good, anything you put on top of it will look that much better.
If your face it a little fuller than usual at this time, you can take advantage of bronzers and other glowy products to help contour your face and create more definition in your cheekbones to help create a more defined look.
Lastly, when all else fails, try products that allow you to multitask with your makeup. These are great options for busy women that do not have all day to do their makeup but still want to look great. Try using tinted moisturizers, 2 in 1 lips and cheeks, and eyeliners with shadow. Simplify the process and still look great!
