Pregnancy and motherhood is obviously a very wonderful experience.  However, it does mean that you have to say good-bye to some of your old self.  Some women mistakenly believe that one of the things they have to give up is fashion and looking good.  However, even though your figure is different and your fashion will have to change – you do not have to give up looking good!

These days, pregnant women are looked on as hip and beautiful.  Some of the rules of fashion do change for pregnant women.  First of all, it is important to stay somewhat modest.  In my opinion, it is unattractive and not hot at all when pregnant women dress like hookers.

This does not mean you cannot go for the sexy look, it just means that what is sexy changes a little bit.  All in all, you should try to avoid exposing your belly and need to make sure you are wearing tops that are long enough to go around your stomach.

The most important thing to keep in mind when shopping for maternity clothes is comfort.  You want something that is comfortable for mommy and baby.  Maternity T shirts are one of the easiest ways to stay comfortable and fashionable.  They do not have to be oversized college t shirts. 

Obviously you wil not be able to fit into those “baby tee’s” anymore, if anything because they will not stretch over your stomanch.  However, there are maternity t shirts online that offer the same style with a little extra fabric in all the right places.

Sometimes, it is not necessary to buy clothes made specifically for pregnant people.  You could purchase a dress made out of stretchy material that would work just fine.

Additionally, you may be able to add certain pieces to the outfits you already have to make them appropriate.  For example, maybe you have a favorite t shirt that does not quite fit but you do not want to buy a maternity t shirt.  You could get a cardigan to throw over it to cover up the parts that do not fit but still be able to show off the design of the shirt.

All it takes is a little bit of creativity to keep yourself looking fashionable and hip throughout your pregnancy.
